Tips for better mental health

Hey hey! Thanks for checking in 😉 I just wanted to create a little blog post to encourage you to take care of your mental health - I am sure I am not the only one to feel overwelmed, tired and over worked...


Here are a few tips that have helped me and I am sure they will help you too 😉


  1. Don't be too hard on yourself, we are imperfect and messy humans. Nobody is perfect and nobody has it all figured out, even if it looks that way. Nobody can do everything: Full time job, studying, side business, family time, cooking, cleaning, shopping, taking care of your other half, etc. It all gets quite overwelming so take a step back and accept that you cannot do everything perfectly. Don't beat yourself up. You are doing the best you can.

  2. Try to actually relax (yes I am terrible at this one) - Do things that relax you: Yoga, meditation, a nap, treat yourself to a massage or a spa day. It's ok to rest! Your body actually needs to recover.

  3. Spend time in nature. Nature always makes me feel at peace. It could just be a 10 minute walk with music in your headphones out in nature but it really makes all the difference. Try it :) You will see.

  4. Eat healthy food. It actually makes you feel so much better. Food is what fuels your body. Take care of it and it will thank you for it. Your energy levels will go up. You will perform better and the world will seem so much brighter.

  5. Sleep, sleep and sleep! Everything seems dark when you are tired. Your body needs to sleep and recover after long days of work, social interactions and moving your body. So give it the rest it needs and it will perform a lot better.

  6. Fuel your mind with positivity. Your mind is like a muscle. If you keep training it to think negative, it will do so but if you train it to think positive, it will automatically think positive. So surround yourself with positive people, read positive quotes, think positive thoughts and you will see, the outcome will be a positive life.

  7. Get creative. We - as humans need to get creative! We need it to feel accomplished and happy. Whether it is painting, drawing, photography, knitting, cooking or anything that helps you feel creative. Do it!

  8. Talk to people you can trust and have meaning, deep conversations, whether it is a family member, a friend or even professional help. Everyone needs to talk and we need deep meaningful realationships to be fulfilled.

  9. Exercise, whether it is going for a run, a swim, a jog, a small workout online or even a walk at your lunch break, do something to move your body and you will feel so much better.

  10. Have a purpose. I personnally feel like my purpose is to help people be happier, healthier and exlpore beautiful places through my blog, photography and youtube channel. It is what makes me want to jump out of bed in the morning and smash out my day. And I encourage you to have a purpose too. Whatever sets your soul on fire. Do that!

  11. Live in the moment. We tend to get so caught up in the past, regretting the things we didn't do or the future, making plans for our future life but the truth is we must appreciate what we have now. Time is such a precious thing and we should appreciate every single moment of it. This life is a gift and we must not take it for granted.

  12. Learn new things, discover new places, traditions and opportunities. Travel the world, learn new cultures, learn new skills, start reading on new topics, educate yourself on things that interest you. The possiblities are endless, you just gotta do it!


So that sums it up :) Now make your mental health a priority!
